☆ Spaceship Assignment ☆


For this 2 week Assignment we completely focused on the Design of Spaceships.
I started off by making a few pages worth of sketches and trying to figure out a rough style and shape I like for this Assignment, since I always struggled with the Design of non organic  projects.

I here used the tutorial we went through in class and watched

after a bit of playing around with the colours I changed my mind and decided to go for a orange colour, since it made the ship look a lot more dynamic and fast in my opinion.

☆Battle arena, lots of changes and assets☆

 Update on my Battle Arena.
For this week I put my arena into unity and started bringing new clouds, lighting, textures and finally worked over the low poly tree on the left side on the biggest island.
The new camera animation is more focused on showing the left side of the arena and the center of the platforms on the biggest islands.
Below you can see the screenshots of the key frames of the camera rotation that I am going to use in my final build.

☆ Speed painting and Highlighting classwork ☆

For this Classwork we learned about the low flow brush technique and then proceeded with a quick one hour speed painting.

I personally struggled with the new technique but plan to put it into practice in future projects.

☆Life Drawing Session #19☆







☆Update 12.03☆


For this weeks update is textured my 3D cog Model in very basic cell shading.
This Model will later on be the items Bianca has to collect to repair her robot arm.

Inspiration for the cell shading came from several mobile games such as clicker heroes and then was later on simplified by us to this sort of style.

Entire Progress of the making of our Background for the "tutorial area" at the beginning of our game.

I started by getting a rough layout of the Background done with the help of my team mates.
I added bricks on the right side of the screen and then proceeded adding simple background features that look similar to the ones I used for the starting screen of our game.


I then continued to add shadows with several multiply layers on the bricks and a holder for the camera that is going to hang down when the background is put into our level.

The last bit is adding overlay layers to create nicer lighting and better atmosphere.

Inspiration for this piece was the game Transistor.

☆ Tree with character ☆


 For this weeks Assignment we have to create a tree with character.
Below you can see my Mood board.

My tree is based around cherry blossom.


Sketches based around different shapes of trees, their leaves and different compositions for my work.




I started by putting basic shaped and forms together and then proceeded painting until I had the shape I was happy with.

This week I rescaled the trees, remodelled the roots, clanged the textures on the mud and added vines.

Overall the battle arena gains a lot more character
