☆Character Sprite progress and starting menu work☆

For this week I mainly focused on art style and design of our main character Bianca.
This involved work on the Starting screen (Menu) and working over the in game sprite.

We came to the agreement that the Drawing that we originally decided to do for the Starting screen is going to be worked over in a different art style to the one shown below.


To see how the prototype Sprite looks in our game we had to make a sketch with the rough dimensions of our game.
We came to the conclusion that we need to redraw our sprite and simplify the design so the character doesn't get lost in the environment and details around herself.



For the new sprite I started with a rough sketch as shown below and then proceeded as doing simple line art and moved on to adding basic colours and shadows in the multiply layer.

Finally I repeated the entire process for her facing the other side.

I improved here the weight, shape and pose of the character for the finalized version of the sprite.
